CeBIT 2017: Emqopter presents autonomous inspection copter

Events

The CeBIT in Hannover is one of the largest international trade fairs for innovative technology and digital solutions. In a total of 4 flight shows, Emqopter - together with its service partner for drone inspection 360° inspections GmbH - presented intelligent flight robot technology in sophisticated applications: The modular Collision Avoidance Assistant as well as a tailor-made and individually adaptable sensor system for flying over tunnel shafts. More than 1000 enthusiastic visitors came to the shows!

The flight show with Emqopter technology at the CeBIT 2017:

The Collision Avoidance Assistant takes over the distance control for the pilot, making it easier to fly in demanding environments.

The CAA reacts reliably to dynamic obstacles and ensures stable positioning in the middle of several obstacles.

The distance control actively intervenes in the flight control - as soon as necessary - and at the same time gives the pilot a lot of freedom in flight!

Only a few simple steps are required to start the system.

The pilot first maneuvers the quadrocopter manually into the tunnel. Then the automatic system takes over for a completely autonomous collision-free flight.

The sensor system continuously records the position of the quadrocopter in the tunnel and guides it along a predetermined route for inspection.

More than 1000 visitors watched the flight show live and on a large video screen.

A professional film team provided direct footage for the live broadcast of the air show on the video screen.
