Innovation Challenge 2025

On June 27, 2025, this year’s Innovation Challenge took place at the Mozartareal Würzburg — an interactive event promoting entrepreneurial thinking and innovative product development.

As part of a workshop, we presented the open source AI development platform Qmed to the students and gave initial insights into its potential with their presentation “Go-to-Market Strategy – AI Drone Qmed”. Afterwards, the students developed new use cases in teams focusing on previously untapped application areas for the drone.

The aim was to develop creative, market-oriented ideas in a short time and then present them in a 4-minute pitch to a jury. The results were impressive:

  • Qmed as a police surveillance drone
  • Qmed as a rescue drone for missions in mountainous terrain

The latter idea particularly convinced the jury and was awarded the 1st place.

We would like to thank the organizers, all participants and especially ZDI Mainfranken for the successful event and are delighted by the strong interest in our technology!
